Data Analytics as the Key to Sustainable Energy: Mycroft Mind Helps Transform European Energetics
Brno-based technology company Mycroft Mind is currently playing a vital role in the digital transformation of Europe´s energy sector, which is facing challenges related to the transition to renewable energy sources. With the planned shutdown of coal-fired power plants and the growing demand for electricity, the effective use of available energy sources will be crucial. Mycroft Mind specializes in advanced data analytics that enable efficient predictions of energy flows and consumption management in real time.
“Data processing from smart meters, electric car charges or photovoltaic panels allows us to predict the energy consumption of communities and individual consumers,” explains Petr Možný, Sales Director of Mycroft Mind. The company uses machine learning to create systems that automatically manage energy consumption and optimize its distribution. This contributes not only to savings, but also to eliminating network overload, which is important for ensuring a stable electricity supply.
Data processing and using is crucial for the energy communities as well as for distributors and suppliers of energy, who are facing increasingly demanding requirements for efficiency and reliability. TTC MARCONI, a company with a long-standing focus on modern communication technologies, is working with Mycroft Mind on a project for ČEZ Distribuce to use data analytics as a way of improving the planning and management of energy flows at the level of individual transformer stations. This enables the distributor to respond more effectively to changing conditions and prevent power outages.
